Six Things That Make Me Me

Seeing how now I have been tagged three times I figured I better get to it. So thanks Miranda, Zac, and Serena.

The rules are as follows for this chain letter:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Write six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
5. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
6. Let your tagger know when your blog entry is up.

Random things about me:

1. Dan will whistle when he comes home. I whistle back to him.

2. I love the color red. I especially love red berries (I have some variety of them in about every room of my apartment).

3. I get great satisfaction out of cleaning. It is something I really enjoy. If I need to uplift my mood, cleaning something always works.

4. I forget my age. When asked my age, 23 is always what comes to mind. I have to think of the year and do the math before responding. It shocks me every time.

5. I love the TV show The Office. It always makes me laugh, which was a bad thing when I was watching it after my c-section.

6. I recently have become more sports savvy. I have watched more baseball games in the last two months than I had in my whole life. Be proud Zac and Serena.

Anyone who would like to respond is welcome to.

Lesson Learned

lesson:
No matter how tired you feel, it is never a good idea to close your eyes when your 20 month old is awake.

While I hadn't planned on falling asleep, I did. I woke up to Oran's cute face in mine saying, "mess. mess. oh no. oh man. mom. mess." I then realize he is naked and covered in powder. I get up and there is powder and little powder footprints all over the apartment. I think it all started when he was trying to change his diaper. He had got the powder and a diaper using his stool. The clean diaper was opened up on the floor filled with powder. I wish I would have taken some pictures(at the time I was pretty focused on getting the mess cleaned up). As I pull out the vacuum and start cleaning it all up he holds on to my legs and says, "okay mom. I love you."

aaaaaaaaaaahh.

I have been asked to give a talk. I have only been to the ward 3 or 4 times and haven't been since having the baby. I thought the new baby would save me from giving a talk at least a year. I have never turned down being asked before as much as I have wanted to. I guess I should be happy he gave me a month to prepare. I just get a little (more like a lot) stressed at speaking in church. One time when I was suppose to give a talk... I had it all prepared. I was dressed and feeling confident but somehow when I got to the church I just kept driving and that was that.

First Attempt at Pictures Together

It started with Lucy's little scowl (an expression we see a lot).

Then we had a little spit up.

I love how it so happened that Oran and Lucy posed the same way.

It all came to an end when Oran started pulling hair.

So Good.

Hershey's Neapolitan Kisses. I would try them if you haven't already

Zac, we hope you have a great birthday! How is India? Does the air really smell of spices? We love you and hope you stay safe.
