Oran is playing soccer. His first game was a little rough since it was freezing and very windy. Oran was so excited until he didn't make a goal. He kept saying, "I am just not good at soccer." He wouldn't play anymore of the game. Dan had a little heart to heart with him and I spent the next week talking about how if we practice and keep trying we can get better. His second game went much better. It was about 20 degrees warmer which made a big difference. He was happy and kept trying. He was unsure of what to do when on defense; I think he got a little bored. Lucy has a little friend whose brother is on Oran's team. They didn't care to watch the game -instead they spun around in circles until they fell down...again and again and again. Loving the pictures! I was so happy to see you posted! Tell Oran he looks so cool in his Soccer attire! Oh that Lucy is too cute! She totally makes the best of everything! Emma loves her Lucy!
Gillian! So is the full team name the Grapes of Wrath>?!?! Or maybe their team cheer should be: "We are the Grapes! Feel our wrath!" That would be awesome. The pictures are great and that is so fun Oran is playing soccer and Lucy is, well Lucy.
I can't wait until my kids are old enough to play organized sports. How fun. And what a great name for Oran's' team!
I bet his next soccer game won't be cold. Hopefully your part of (I almost said the name of the city we live in/near!) is enjoying the beautiful weather that my part is. :)
