A trundle?

Oran has a new bed. I thought we chose a captains bed. It turned out we bought a trundle bed. Oran loves it so that is what counts.

The bed is unfinished so I am trying to decide how to finish it. Right now I am leaning towards colored stain. I am thinking orange, red, or blue. Any ideas?

6 Months and Counting

Even though Lucy is almost seven months I still want to post a six month picture and her stats. She loves to sit and play with toys, especially if they are Oran's. She likes her rice cereal but still is unsure of everything else. Lucy is our night owl. She loves being up late and sleeping in late. It is hard to believe how fast she is growing up. We love our Lucy girl!

weight: 16 pounds 12 ounces

height: 26.5 inches (same as 4 months; I find this odd.)

Four Months...Already?

Lucy is our little jabberer! She loves waking up in the early hours of the day just to talk to herself for a half hour or so until she falls back asleep.
Some of her other favorite things:

• fingers (hers and all others)
• spitting
  
• her feet
  
• being naked
  
• baths
• wet washcloths
• her mobile
• being swaddled (it is the only way she will fall asleep)
• Oran

She absolutely loves Oran! She will smile just hearing him. Anytime he gets close to her she reaches out her hand and tries to grab him. They have a game Oran started where he will lay beside her, sit next to her, or lean over her and wait to see what she will grab. He then says, as if teaching her, "Sucy*, hair" or Sucy, shirt" or "Sucy, toes". They both seem to love it. I love that they are already making up games together. I still remember some of the games I made up with my siblings ( I will refrain from sharing because I know my oldest brother is still in denial and a little sensitive about discussing them).
*Oran doesn't pronounce "L's" at the beginning of words, instead he will substitute it with the following sound so our Lucy is "Sucy".

A Weekend Trip

I love fall. A weekend ago we were able to take a little drive East to visit some friends in West Virginia. It was such a beautiful drive with all of the colors and hills. Oran had so much fun playing with Elena and Lucas. Even though it was in the 50's we spent a lot of time outside, it was great. I think I might like to live in the East some day.

He's Two!

This weekend we celebrated Oran's birthday. He loved it. Since he isn't a big fan of cake, I found the coolest idea by Martha Stewart - rice crispy treats in the form of a cake. It was a lot of fun to make and absolutely delicious to eat. The candles made him a little nervous. I think his favorite part was singing "Happy Birthday".

Two Months Old

I had planned on posting this before now. It is amazing how fast time gets away from me. Her two month stats are:
Weight 12 pounds 4 ounces Length 24.5 inches

One Month and Smiling

Lucy had her one month check-up this week. She is growing and doing great. She smiles all the time now (I wish I could catch a full one on camera).

For those interested...she weighs 10 pounds and is 23 1/4 inches long.
